More Information

While future Nobel-laureate André Gide might be the best known, Neo-Impressionist painter Théo Van Rysselberghe and dramatist Jacques Copeau are amongst the others. Looking at their writings, paintings and work produced in Jersey, Diane expands upon their extravagant lifestyles and relationships.

Diane also introduces the readers to their varied correspondences and a hitherto unpublished photo album of significant interest to anyone keen to discover more about St Brelade’s Bay at the turn of the century and its colourful visitors. This richly illustrated book is a quality publication by Blue Ormer.
