Geowalk: Discover the Neanderthals Hunting Cave

Join us on an exploration of one of Jersey's Neanderthal caves, La Cotte à la Chèvre. Following the steep cliff path, rocky and exposed in places, journey to the hunting cave of the Neanderthal people who inhabited Jersey for over 200,000 years.

The adventure starts at Grosnez and goes down to the cave which was formed when sea levels were much higher than today. This geowalk is restricted in number and is not suitable for people with mobility issues.

This Geowalk starts in Grosnez Castle carpark at Les Landes.

Extra Details: This route follows rough paths which are steep and exposed in places. Please wear sensible footwear such as trainers as we will be walking over uneven and rocky surfaces. No dogs allowed.
