More Information
When the Covid-19 pandemic hit, having lost the pub that he ran with his wife, Jay Flynn set up a quiz night on Facebook for the local community but forgot to mark it private. Before long, 800 people registered, and this became the start of an online international quiz sensation – helping people round the world through the bleakest of periods and ultimately earning Jay an MBE for ‘lifting the spirits of a nation’.
A lifetime away from the two years that he lived on the streets when he was close to taking his own life, Jay now has a regular slot on Zoe Ball’s Radio 2 show as ‘The Quizmaster’.
