Grève de Lecq Barracks is home to ArtHouse Jersey’s Headquarters. The charity exists to serve our Island community and international audiences by supporting artists from Jersey and across the world to create ambitious work.

ArtHouse Jersey moved to its current location at the historic Grève de Lecq Barracks in September 2019 in order to provide a cultural hub for the island, where artistic activity, creation and collaboration can thrive. A range of public performances and pop-up exhibitions take place at the Barracks throughout the year and the site contains two multipurpose studio spaces that can be booked for use by the public. Arrivals: The Sound of Colour 2024
Tracing the emergence of language in Jersey through projection and immersive soundscape. ArtHouse Jersey is delighted to be working with acclaimed International artist and video designer Akhila Krishan. Arrivals is the second edition of the incredibly popular projection mapping and sound work, The Sound of Colour, first presented in 2021.

The Lullaby Choir Concerts
ArtHouse Jersey is delighted to present the first public concerts of The Lullaby Choir, that has been assembled with singers across the community and who will be performing a collection of lullabies in Farsi, Urdu, Dutch, Māori, and English, including original compositions written during last year’s Lullaby Project writing workshops.

Short Creative Courses
ArtHouse Jersey has teamed up with talented local and international tutors to offer an exciting series of drawing, painting and movement courses this Autumn. Course topics range from ink art to paper sculpture-making to movement theory. These varied one and two-day courses cater to all abilities.

ArtHouse Jersey Pop Up Exhibition
Our Pop Up Exhibition programme continues with a series of our popular weekend exhibition format at Greve de Lecq Barracks that provides local artists with a space to showcase their work collaboratively. This Pop Up will feature work by Max Corbett, Connor Daly, Karina Martine Faria.

Live at the Barracks: Sofia
SOFIA is a self-taught, Jersey-based singer, songwriter and producer who is already making huge waves in the drum and bass community. Her songs offer a fresh take on the genre, appealing to both DnB diehards and newcomers alike.

Dancing Together: A Ballad
A large-scale public art installation called ‘Dancing Together’ created by leading Finnish contemporary artist Kaarina Kaikkonen will be transformed into an indoor installation. This marks the first piece in the newly launched Butterfield Public Art Series.
