The Battle of Flowers Funfair opens today!
Billy Searle is one of the leading funfair organisers in the UK and has brought his rides to Jersey as part of our annual Battle of Flowers Parade celebrations. The funfair is located on People's Park in St Helier close to the Battle of Flowers Parade arena, until Sunday August 16.

Hot headed celebrity chef Marco Pierre White is Mr Battle 2009.
The star of Hells Kitchen will accompany Miss Battle Lucy O'Sullivan for the Baltte of Flowers day parade on August 13th.
47 year old Marco says he is honoured to be taking part in this year's celebrations.

Miss Junior Battle of Flowers 2009 is 11-year-old Sophie Young.
The Beaulieu School pupil beat off competition from 20 other girls to be awarded the accolade in the competition final yesterday afternoon at the Lion Park in St Lawrence.

Eighteen year-old Lucy O'Sullivan was crowned Miss Battle 2009 on Saturday night. The Beaulieu school student thinks she won because of her down to earth attitude and smiley demeanour.
But Lucy says it still hasn't sunk in.
